- Helping your own children to aspire
- Supporting other parents to help their children learn
- Engaging parents in raising the achievements of their children
- Giving parents a channel for communication
- Engaging parents in school activities
Meetings are held half termly in school.
PAT Team Challenge
Many new parents have come along to join in and support the Parents Aspirations Team. Although it is not always possible for everyone to get to the meetings because of various commitments, the enthusiasm is very lively.
This year, it is our intention to run a parent workshop. We hope that this will encourage parents skills in helping their children with their education, for instance how to help with homework, or planning revision for future exams. It will be an interesting challenge, but hopefully parents will find their comfort zone and not the panic situation when their children ask them to help with homework!!
All exciting stuff. If you want to be involved, do come along to the next meeting. The date for this is yet to be confirmed, but will be notified as soon as possible by e-mail or letter (or watch this space!).
Regards from the PAT
